Dr. Gillespie has extensive experience in clinical oncology, clinical trials, and cancer research. She directed oncology clinical research trials in both the community and academic medical center, and was Director of Health Services & Outcomes Research for the Atlanta Veterans Affairs Medical Center. Currently, she is Professor, Department of Surgery and Department of Hematology and Medical Oncology, Emory University School of Medicine; Clinical Associate Professor, School of Nursing; Senior Fellow in the Emory Global Health Institute; and a full member of the Winship Cancer Institute. As Principal Investigator and Co-Investigator on numerous grants, Dr. Gillespie has been funded by the NCI/NIH; CDC; DOD; Veterans Affairs; American Cancer Society, Gates Foundation and Movember Foundation.  Her funded studies have focused on cancer health disparities; decision-making by patients, the public and clinicians; risk communication; quality and outcomes in healthcare; and interventions to improve risk comprehension, guideline concordant care, and outcomes. Dr. Gillespie teaches in the Schools of Medicine, Public Health, and Nursing at Emory and has published and presented broadly for more than 25 years.

Ms. Moss is an Adult Nurse Practitioner at VCU Health System currently practicing medical oncology at VCU Community Memorial Hospital in South Hill, Virginia. She has worked as an adult nurse practitioner in oncology since 2008 and prior to that had 14 years of nursing experience. She has worked primarily in the community setting providing care to underserved populations ensuring quality cancer care and access to clinical trials for all patients. She has been instrumental in the initiation of the Survivorship Clinic at Community Memorial, developing post treatment summaries and plans of care for all cancer survivors. Her clinical interests include survivorship including long term and late effects of treatment as well as cencer rehab, palliative care, and geriatric oncology. She received her master's degree in nursing from the University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill in 2008.

Patricia Jakel, RN, is an Advance Practice Nurse for the Solid Tumor Program at UCLA Healthcare. She oversees the care of 30-40 patients who are receiving chemotherapy, radiation therapy, symptom management and End of Life care. Ms. Jakel coordinates outreach classes for oncology education. 
 
Ms. Jakel earned her Master's Degree in Nursing in 1991 from the University of California, Los Angeles and her undergraduate degree from Hartwick College New York. She is certified as an Advanced Oncology Nurse by the Oncology Nursing Society, and received the Advanced Practice Nurse of the Year Award in 2015 from the Los Angeles Chapter. Ms. Jakel is a member of several professional organizations include the American Nurses Association, the American Cancer Society, and the Oncology Nursing Society. She has presented on many occasions on symptom management in oncology, improving cancer patients outcomes focusing on quaility of life, moral distress/ethics and other topics important to oncology nursing.
 
Ms. Jakel is involved in nursing research looking at moral distress and compassion fatigue and ethics.
1. Discuss the risks and benefits of CDK 4/6 inhibitors for the treatment of estrogen receptor–positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer with patients and their families
2. Describe education/shared decision-making strategies to help patients understand their treatment options in estrogen receptor–positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer
3. Evaluate proper dosing administration, monitoring, and adherence strategies of CDK 4/6 inhibitors for the treatment of estrogen receptor–positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer
4. Develop education strategies to help patients understand how to recognize and manage side effects of CDK 4/6 inhibitors for the treatment of estrogen receptor–positive, HER2-negative advanced breast cancer
5. Describe effective nursing management of adverse events associated with CDK inhibitors
6. Describe the role of a nurse navigator in the management of patients with advanced or metastatic breast cancer being treated with CDK 4/6 inhibitors
